Where did the name come from? That’s easy. On tiny Fishers Island, New York, there is a sliver of paradise known as Isabella beach. A pebbly path and an expanse of smooth Atlantic rocks lead to a perfect stretch of sand, ideal in any season. Building a sandcastle in the hot sun, wrapped up in a blanket by a roaring bonfire, bracing oneself against the winter chill for an adventurous walk; any time spent on Isabella is time well spent. Like the idyllic beach for which the bags are named, Isabella bags inspire memories of relaxation, seaside fun and beauty in simplicity. |

Isabella Bags was born New Years’ Eve heading into 2005. Carolyn and Cory are two old friends who love to talk business ideas and fashion, and that festive night was no different! They hit upon the idea of handmade fabric bags, and the next morning Carolyn went home and whipped up a few bags with some leftover curtain fabric. Isabella Bags took off, and evolved into a Home Design Party business, with a focus on fun social time and creativity! Carolyn and Cory still love to have fun social time and create bags in the process! |
